My name is Noel and I’m from Dominican Republic, now based in Rhode Island. I’ve been creating for over 10 years, and I love telling stories through humanitarian street photography and filmmaking. People and life itself are my biggest inspiration. It’s driven by a passion to tell stories of humans and places.
Humanitarian photography and travel is my favorite way to stay motivated creatively. Tapping into other cultures always refreshes my mind and I want my work to reflect the real lived experiences and real felt emotions of everyday people. This is what Momentos is all about. I use photography to observe and document the world. For me, it’s about having a creative outlet that allows me to capture what resonates with me, free from external influences and expectations.
Cinematography is how I bring that same passion for storytelling to my professional life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on feature films, short films, and commercial projects. What I love most about cinematography is how it pulls you into the story. It’s more than just the image. It’s about emotions and relatability. It’s the interplay of composition, camera movement, lens characteristics, light and shadow play, sound, etc., all working together to connect audiences to stories on a deeper level, making them feel like they’re living inside it.
At the core of every project I take on, there’s an intention to connect. To tell real life stories of real people that leave an impression. My ultimate goal is to continue pursuing storytelling through photography while exploring with cinematic short-form documentaries as a new way to bring those stories to life.
